After so many below freezing days in January, the weather for Emily and David's wedding day was a lovely surprise! Emily's dress was designed and made by Laurie Anne Benko, owner of Restitched Designs. The scalloped lace neckline of Emily's dress and the ivory color suited her so well and the design complemented her slender waist. She wore her grandmother's pearl necklace and a gorgeous two-tiered veil which added such a classic touch.
Emily and David were married at the Baltimore Basilica in Baltimore, MD. Opened in 1821 and known as "America's First Cathedral," it is magnificent. From its stately Ionic columns out front, to the interior domes and rich history, the cathedral is impressive.
After their beautiful ceremony, Whitehouse Caterers at Overhills Mansion in Catonsville, MD welcomed us into a cozy atmosphere with delicious appetizers and drinks. After cocktails, Emily and David were introduced and went right into their first dance. The tenderness with which David cares for Emily is so evident and sweet. Guests wasted no time getting out on the dance floor and well, this family knows how to dance! After a brief interlude for dinner, the dancing continued. Their reception was such a wonderful celebration of family, friends, delicious food and amazing music! Congratulations Emily and David!
