Kelly and Alex were married during the first snow in MD. I met Kelly and her bridesmaids for a few photos in a gorgeous home just across the street from the Naval Academy. The snow had started to fall and gained momentum, blanketing the landscape in crisp white.
The USNA Chapel decorated for Christmas was warm, inviting and grande. The Chapel is considered the cathedral of the Navy which makes sense when you witness its massive size and stately architecture. Alex was visibly moved as he watched Kelly and her father walk the aisle to the altar. After their ceremony, they passed through a sword arch and kissed before each cross of swords. The swirling snowflakes created a picturesque backdrop to their exit.
The reception was in the Officer and Faculty Club, not far from the chapel. The scent of pine boughs and the warmth of candles was so welcoming to their friends and family. Kelly had thoughtfully planned and designed the reception decor and details, every piece woven perfectly together. The tartan table runners and napkin rings, the navy-themed ornaments for guests to sign, and wooden signs all came together beautifully. Elizabeth and her team from East Made Event worked their magic in the set-up and coordination of it all and made the reception run seamlessly! The music by DJ Orlando, delicious dinner by the staff at the club, warm atmosphere of the Officer's Club, and the snow falling outside coating the world in white, combined with the amazing family and friends that surrounded Kelly and Alex made their wedding day magical. Congratulations Kelly and Alex!
